Andy Swanson, also known as Bruce Andrew Swanson, holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from North Dakota State and a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Montana. He embarked on his real estate career in 2001 and has since amassed extensive professional experience across multiple sectors of the industry.

Andy began his career as a mortgage banker and was rapidly promoted to sales manager in a local bank's mortgage department, where he served for a total of eight years. This tenure provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the banking aspects of development and housing. In 2009, anticipating a downturn in the market, Andy obtained his real estate license and began flipping distressed and foreclosed properties with one of his current business partners, Dustin Ho. This venture enhanced his transactional skills and enabled him to acquire knowledge on the construction side of the business.

Subsequently, with the foreclosure market dwindling, Andy transitioned to building and selling homes with Hearthstone Homes, seizing new opportunities. This experience proved invaluable as he prepared to establish HSR Capital, LLC, in 2018, the predecessor of HSR Development. Currently, he serves as the President of HSR Development and is one of five active partners in the company. He has participated in numerous transactions, including vacant land development and sales, finished lot sales, build and sell of homes, and multi-million-dollar commercial transactions including mobile home parks, apartments, and mini-storage facilities.

HSR and Andy's team are primarily focused on developing single-family residential subdivision projects in recent years, from land acquisition to entitlements, construction, and ultimate sellout as finished lots or homes. The company has also acquired several premium multi-family parcels ideal for apartment development, with the aim of providing increased passive income opportunities for the team.
